Behaviour

St Clement's Behaviour Policy 24-25

Be Ready

Being ready means being prepared to receive instructions, to take the next steps in your learning and to embrace new challenges with confidence. Children who demonstrate readiness actively engage their senses, showing focus and attentiveness as part of active listening.

Be Respectful

Being respectful means showing consideration and kindness to everyone, without exception. This includes listening attentively when someone else is speaking — whether that is a peer or an adult within the school community. It means valuing the thoughts and ideas of others and recognising and appreciating their efforts.

Being respectful also involves helping to create a positive environment where everyone feels safe, supported and able to do their best learning.

Be Safe

Being safe means behaving in a way that does not cause harm to yourself or to others. This applies to all activities throughout the school, including walking indoors, carefully following safety instructions during a science investigation, and using kind hands, feet and words at all times.

It also means seeking help from an adult immediately if you notice something that could be unsafe. By making sensible and responsible choices, we help to create a secure, supportive and caring environment for everyone in our school community.
