Mrs Friday is the Class Teacher in Lobster Class, and Mrs Bofando is the Teaching Assistant. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us via Class Dojo or speak to us at the end of the school day during collection. We’ll also use Class Dojo to share updates, key information, and photos of our learning journey.

Reading at Home

Reading supports your child's development in knowledge, understanding, and language skills. While reading is taught in school, regular practice at home makes a big difference. Please listen to your child read a couple of pages daily and encourage them to read at least four times a week for a minimum of five minutes.

To help us track progress, please note in the contact book when your child has read (e.g., "Read" or "Read pages 1–5"). Books will be changed after they’ve been read twice.

Once children reach a certain level of comprehension, they will receive login details for Accelerated Reader (AR). These will be placed inside the front cover of their contact book—typically during Year 2.

 

Mathematics at Home

This year we’re focusing on the 1, 2, 5, and 10 times tables through fun activities such as chanting, games, and practical tasks. You can support your child at home by practicing with them and exploring interactive maths games:
