Octopus Class - Year 5

Welcome to Octopus Class.

The teacher in Octopus class is Ms Murphy and we have a 1:1 TA Mrs Miller who helps individual children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

We have PE on a Monday and Wednesday so you may come into school in your PE kit on those days. 

Our timetable is packed with a variety of lessons each day, the format of all of our mornings remain the same to ensure that the children know how to settle in daily. We are lucky enough to have a visiting Music teacher on Friday who is teaching the children Ukulele.

Daily Worship 

A daily worship is organised for every afternoon, it may be singing, whole school worship or class worship. Each term each class participates in a worship where parents are invited in. This is generally a whole school focus or a specific event. Please look out for information via ClassDojo and the schools Face Book page for the dates of our class worships.

Supporting your child at home

You could support your child at home by listening to them read daily, quizzing times tables and supporting with spellings. Each term there is a focus and in the Termly curriculum Overviews there are suggestions of books to read together, places to visit and other things you could do to support learning throughout the term.
